AGE- Sierra Leone seeks to empower girls in impoverished communities across Sierra Leone’s hinterlands.
AGE- Sierra Leone seeks to empower girls in impoverished communities across Sierra Leone’s hinterlands. It currently operates in Kathirie, Makorombo, Mangoreh and Bombali Bana communities in Bombali district, North of Sierra Leone, where girls are rapidly becoming premature mothers, and are massively subjected to child labour through their daily engagement in the arduous business of carrying to distant township markets small trees/sampling and selling them for their livelihood.
Education is a fundamental right; girls’ education contributes towards achieving global goals.
AGE–Sierra Leone supports girls to learn, thrive and be change drivers.
In keeping with the organization’s central tenet, AGE–Sierra Leone provides school materials such as shoes, bags, exercise books, pens/pencils, uniforms etc., and organizes remedial classes to improve their knowledge in English Language and Mathematics to ensure success in their pursuits of high-quality education
