Action for Girls’ Empowerment (AGE- Sierra Leone), which was founded in 2018, is a non-profit which supports the education of girls in Sierra Leones’s disadvantaged communities. AGE-Sierra Leone strives to empower deprived girls by using education as a formidable driving force to usher them to academic success which will ultimately impact their communities positively.
AGE- Sierra Leone seeks to empower girls in impoverished communities across Sierra Leone’s hinterlands. It currently operates in Kathirie, Makorombo, Mangoreh and Bombali Bana communities in Bombali district, North of Sierra Leone, where girls are rapidly becoming premature mothers, and are massively subjected to child labour through their daily engagement in the arduous business of carrying to distant township markets small trees/sampling and selling them for their livelihood.
Mission statement:
Empower girls for a brighter future.
Vision statement:
Transform girls into role models.
